Yuri Nishimoto
Producer of Peking Opera at Pili International Multimedia
Studied abroad as an exchange student at Plano Senior High School in Texas, USA from 1991 to 1992, responsible for writing the film section of the school newspaper.
Graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Education, Department of English and American Literature in 1996, and joined Toho Co., Ltd. After working at a cinema in the Osaka branch, returned to the Tokyo headquarters to handle pamphlet and product development in the visual business department. Got married and moved to Taiwan in 2001.
In 2002, served as the president’s assistant at “鎧甲娛樂(milk.com)” founded by director Edward Yang, handling negotiations with Japanese animation companies and film festival-related tasks.
In 2007, served as Co-producer for the film “闘茶” for the first time, while also working as an interpreter on set and for the director. Subsequently became involved in various interpreting and translation tasks.
Joined Pili International Multimedia in 2013, responsible for overseas sales, film festival operations, and domestic and international licensing for the first 3D puppet animation film “古代ロボットの秘密.” At the same time, served as the producer for the Japan-Taiwan co-production series “Thunderbolt Fantasy 東離劍遊紀,” overseeing coordination between Japan and Taiwan as well as video production.
